I started my experience in educating and stimulating children in early childhood at the age of 16. As an ATL monitor, I built competence projects with a strong focus on expressive communication methods. I was a storyteller at the Municipal Library of Sintra, where the magic of children's stories merged with the magic of the village of Sintra - Land that I love so much and which saw me grow up...
I completed my Masters in Educational Psychology at Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada and I am an effective member of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists (number 19037)
I participated in the development and testing of the Initiation to Reading and Writing, built and funded by the Aga Khan Foundation. I went back to using and testing the Program with children and families in situations of greater fragility while simultaneously developing projects to promote emotional and social skills with children and young people.
In the true spirit of Hakuna Matata Thearpeutic Clinic, playing and stories are my privileged means to reach the child's imagination, to give them color, joy and calmness, building with them some "tricks" in this magical space of growth!
Since 2015 I have been working in a Family Intervention and Training Team, essentially identifying and working with weaknesses in child development, including assessment and intervention in family systems of support for children with identified weaknesses.
Being beside a child and also their parents, in addition to being a support for them, it is also a great learning experience. After all “Those who pass by us do not go alone. They leave a little of themselves, they take a little of us" (The Little Prince -Antoine de Saint-Exupery).
